Driving through the streets of Paris shooting film from the passenger seat, one of my favourite pieces moving imagery came to mind.

Taking a pair of scissors to someone's work is rarely considered a gesture of appreciation. Not so for young Brisbane artist Erin Evanochko aka Glovebox. I'm flattered (I think).

snapshots... Venice, California

Yesterday I gave a friend of mine the Leroy Grannis book of surf photography from the 6o's and 70's. While the gift was being unwrapped, another firend shared his experience of photographing the iconic photographer for American Vogue. Apparently Grannis politely expressed his desire to be home in time for a glass of wine with his wife at 4 o'clock. When asked what the occasion was, Grannis responded that it was something they had done every afternoon for forty years. Leroy Grannis passed away in February this year at the age of 93.
