I really relate to these words from Spielberg. Getting lost in details can really be a barrier to capturing the beautiful moments which constitute the soul of the picture. The same is true of life.

The below is my first video project that happened spontaneously whilst shooting stills on my Canon 5D Mark II.  I shot a few clips of video and did a rough edit on iMovie. We were working alone, no hair & makeup, no stylist. It took me back to the beautiful intimacy and raw simplicity of when I first starting taking pictures.

If you're interested in the phenomena of crop circles, read the article written by my friend Amely Greeven on Reality Sandwich. Whatever you believe, their beauty is undeniable.

Jim Jarmusch makes unconventional, minimal, surreal films. They are beautifully shot, and feature flawed characters in often familiar environments filmed in a dreamlike state.

Some stills from the films of Jim Jarmusch...

Some words from the man himself...

a little bit of Larry Clark ...

Love this album cover, don't know who shot it. It's reminiscent of a Larry Clark picture.
